Meet the team
Linda has been professionally grooming for over 30 years and has previously owned Groomingdales and Urban Dogz. Her personal pets include a Kerry Blue Terrier named Glenvista’s Lady Madeline, a Lakeland Terrier named Amelia, a long haired Chihuahua named Fannie, and a barn cat appropriately named Barney. She brings not only her entrepreneur experience but also her extensive grooming experience.
Tayler has 8 years of grooming experience and came to us from Three Waggin' Tails. She is passionate about working with dogs who need a little extra care during the grooming process. Tayler is always working to stay on top of trends in the grooming industry and breed standards, and furthers her knowledge by taking continuing education classes through the NDGAA. Her personal four-legged friends include Ernie, Abu, and Meeko.
Jordy started her grooming career on the East coast her sophomore year of high school. She is continuously looking for new ways to improve her grooming skills and is passionate about staying up to date with the latest grooming trends. Her pets include an orange tabby named Sheckles, a bully-mix named Ayluh, a golden retriever named Clancy, and a chameleon named Teriyaki-Gizmo. She not only strives to build a relationship with her furry friends, but with their parents as well.
Laura is the founder of Bark Shop. Her “kids”, a Shi-Poo named Cal and two Mal-Shis named Cameron and Ricky, are her whole world and her primary reason for opening Bark Shop. She truly cares about every pet and customer that comes in and wants them to leave feeling pampered.
Mike is the co-owner of Bark Shop. His love for animals began with two cats, Ding Dong and Licorice, when he was just a little tike. Nowadays, his pride and joy is a boxer named Henrik. Mike’s passion for building this business stems from his belief of how customers and clientele should be treated.
Hello! I’m Amanda and here’s a little about me; I’ve always had a great passion for animals that grows more and more everyday. I’ve worked alongside groomers starting in 2008 and began grooming in 2010. I’ve previously groomed in West Des Moines and Urbandale, as well as Newton, where I reside. I’ve taken classes at DMACC in their veterinary technician program and worked at a veterinary clinic as a vet assistant! Your pet's health is just as important to me as the way they look when they leave the salon! I have a Puggle named Brody, an unknown mutt named Cece, and a three legged cat named Thanos. I am also a busy mommy of three girls, Jolene, Olivia and Hadley.
